Inheritance

Aqsa Rana writes poetry, short fiction, and hybrid prose, with a sustained interest in observation, restraint, and the everyday forms through which authority is learned, inherited, and maintained. Her work is attentive to language as a system, how instruction, habit, silence, and repetition shape conduct in domestic, bodily, and institutional settings. Trained in law and engaged in legal writing and research, she approaches form with an emphasis on structure and register, moving deliberately between lyric compression, narrative withholding, and bureaucratic pastiche.
