Excerpts

Read a little of the book.

The Lost & The Broken, p. 1

"I see a woman in the mirror who isn't there."
Michael's voice was barely audible, a low whisper that sent a shiver down Dr. Emma's spine.
The dimly lit room seemed to shrink, the shadows cast by the faint light dancing across the walls like restless spirits.

The Lost & The Broken, p. 2

Michael's chair scraped against the floor as he stood, pacing before the window like a caged animal. Dr. Emma's eyes followed him, her gaze piercing, trying to unravel the enigma that was Michael.
"I see demons in their eyes," Michael said, his voice a mere whisper, a secret shared in the darkness.

The Lost & The Broken, p. 3

Michael's hand hesitated on the door handle, his gaze searching for answers in the depths of Dr. Emma's eyes. "I see hope...just a fleeting glimpse of it." His voice barely rose above a whisper, a fragile thread of trust. "Then it's gone."
With that, Michael disappeared into the night, leaving Dr. Emma with more questions than answers.
