Asad Yusuf is an aspiring author who likes to write horror and thriller stories for teenagers and young adults. He has a Masters in Special and Inclusive Education from the UK and a CELTA certified English Language Instructor. His stories are filled with vivid imagination that would immerse readers into a world of awe, suspense, intrigue and fantasy.

I was falling in an endless abyss that would seem to go on forever as the black empty space was pulling me mercilessly downwards to the unknown. I clawed at the darkness again and again but to no avail. I could only see the shadowy outlines of my hands and fingers just within my range of vision. I felt helpless since there was nothing to stop my never-ending descent.

I felt my emotions and memories fading away as I unwillingly continued my descent. It seemed like there was a major force that decided my fate and I had no control over the situation. I could not even remember what has happened to me prior to the fall or why was I falling in the great dark abyss. Somehow, I knew that I must have done something unforgivable but I cannot remember the reasons anymore.

‘’Hey mom….I am having tea! Would you like some too?” I asked her as she was sitting on that very sofa, reading her favorite romance novel. Everything looked bigger, especially my mother. I must have been a young child back then.
“Yes, my son. I would like that very much!” my mother said in a sweet and loving voice, still reading her book.
