About the Author
I’m Faizan, a 24 year old medical student from Lahore who believes in logic and practicality rather than delusional comprehension of the world. With my observant prowess, I’ve written this tale inspired both by real-life experiences and fantasies. Even though this world seems pointless, I still like tea, rain, and cats!

Hospitals’ OPDs are really something. Everyone there has a flaw in their system, which they can’t deny, and everyone else can see it. Your shortcomings are written on a piece of paper that is handed over to you. Everyone you see there has a piece of paper of their own. We all acknowledge how we are all damaged and broken. No one’s perfect. Each existence is tainted, and no one can point fingers at anyone, acting like a saint themselves.
“Your drugs haven’t been useful, and your suggestions about travelling, friends, and relationships haven’t worked either. Nothing excites me. I’ve forced myself to socialise with people, eat, and laugh with them, trying to pretend I’m normal, hoping that someday, I’ll forget that I’m pretending. I thought I could live on like that, but lately, it’s been exhausting.”
