Submission Information

Process Overview

1. Submit a Sample: Upload a writing sample by the deadline to be considered for publication in the magazine.
2. Review: The editorial team evaluates all submissions to select contributors based on quality and fit.
3. Payment Confirmation: Selected contributors complete the contributor fee to confirm their place in the magazine.
4. Final Submission: Contributors submit their full pieces, along with an introduction or bio, within one week after payment.
5. Publication: Once finalized, the magazine is published, and contributors receive a copy along with exposure to readers.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Contributors must be writers residing in Pakistan.
  • Open to writers of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Sample submissions can include previously published work.
  • Each writer may submit a maximum of 1 sample writing for consideration.

Word Limits & Formats

For submitting your sample, please follow the word limits below:

  • Poetry: Up to 40 lines
  • Prose: Maximum 3,000 words

All submissions must be provided as a Word document or PDF file format.

Contributor Fee

A contributor fee of 4,000 PKR applies to each selected writer. Payment confirms your place in the magazine and helps cover editorial, production, and distribution costs. Payment details will be shared with selected writers after review of their sample.

Contributors connect with fellow writers, expand their readership both nationally and internationally, and experience the magazine’s professional publishing process. Each contributor also receives a copy of the published issue, showcasing their work to a wider audience and opening doors to future literary opportunities.

Rights & Ownership

Contributors retain full copyright of their work. By submitting to the magazine, writers grant TWS Publications a limited license to publish, distribute, and promote their work within the magazine.

How To Submit A Sample

To be considered for publication in the magazine, submit your writing sample using the form below. Ensure your piece follows the specified word limits and formatting guidelines. Only complete submissions with all required details will be reviewed for selection.

Submission Deadline

All writing samples must be submitted by 1 February 2026, 11:59 PM to be considered.

Review & Selection

All writing samples will be carefully reviewed by our editorial team, and selected writers will be contacted to proceed with the next steps, including payment and final submission. If you do not hear from us within one week after sample submission, please consider your submission unsuccessful. We sincerely wish you the very best in your future writing endeavors and truly appreciate every writer’s effort and creativity.

Final Submission

Selected contributors will be given one week to prepare their final submission, consisting of two pieces of their work, which can be poetry, prose, or any literary form, along with an author bio. You are welcome to include any images, illustrations, or graphics to accompany your pieces. Our team will coordinate with you regarding placements inside the magazine and interior layout.

All further details regarding formatting, layout, and submission requirements will be shared directly with selected writers to ensure a smooth and professional publication process.

Publication & Distribution

By late February, the 1st Edition of Sanctuary will be published both in print and digital formats. Contributors will receive a copy of the magazine featuring their work, and the issue will be distributed to a wide audience across Pakistan. The magazine will also be promoted through TWS Publications’ networks, ensuring maximum visibility and reach for all contributors.
