About the Author

I, Farashah Shams, a 16-year-old poet who envisioned letting the world read the pain she delivers in poetry. I began my journey of sharing my poetry on social media platforms which helped me gain the attention of readers interested in reading about grief, love, tragedies, and melancholy. Sitting in the corner of my bedroom and delivering my ache poetically made me realize that I can touch people’s hearts without actually feeling it. Poetry has always been the easiest way for me to communicate my feelings more maturely, and as a poet, my only source of happiness is writing poetries to let people relate to it as much as I do. It’s the literature world and we’re just silly little creatures living in it.
