About the Author

Wareesha Fahad is a 16-year old history and literature student who uses her passion for the subjects as guidance for creative output. Poetry, to her, is not simply a form of art but a language of its own—and it is the only one she feels she is fluent in. When life feels too heavy to talk to anyone, she turns to her worn-out journal and whispers in this intimate language.

Since she was a little girl, she has always been coming up with her own poems, and all of them have always been "pretty" with a deeply emotional undertone only those who understand, can understand. Her main muse is nature, the fear of her past still clawing at her shoulders, and her best friends. She looks up to Sylvia Plath and Anne Sexton, and wishes to pursue a degree in classical studies and be a historian as well as a poet.
