About The Book
Finding Home is not just a fictional play; it’s an emotion—an emotion that captures the struggles of women in their quest to find a home, a home that every woman deserves. While it is often said that "a woman is the enemy of another woman," this play challenges that notion. It centres on the childhood friendship of two 18-year-old girls who embark on a journey through a deep, dense forest to find a magical white palace. Along the way, their bond is tested and eventually broken by the antagonist of the story. Although conflict arises between the two friends, by the time they feel regret and guilt, it is too late. The play also delves into the themes of human suffering, guilt, regret, and the complex emotions of young women.
About The Author
Greetings to my readers!
It’s a special feeling to launch my first book as an author. I imagine some of you might be wondering what inspired me to become a writer and venture into fiction. To be honest, I don't believe any specific person or event inspired this young 22-year-old, a resident of the city of saints, to write fiction. Perhaps it’s something I was born with.
From dreaming of becoming an engineer to changing my path at the last moment and dedicating myself to the field of English Literature was a risk, and guess what? I don’t regret it. I was 15 when I discovered my ability to write, create stories, and build characters. Now, seven years later, I am proud to present my first work of fiction to the people of Pakistan.
I sought the insights of my esteemed professors, teachers, and friends to review my work, and their overwhelming feedback and encouragement filled me with confidence and excitement, driving me to publish this book. As we all know, the genre of English playwriting is losing its place in Pakistan. I hope my small efforts to revive it bear fruit. I thank Allah and my parents for this success.
Happy reading!
