About the Book
The Song of Our Blood is a debut poetry collection that brings together history, memory, and a contemporary voice. The book emerges from a personal need to understand loss, resilience, and the passage of time through language that bridges the past and the present. The poems move between intimate reflection and inherited stories, reimagining gods and heroes alongside meditations on mortality, grief, and transformation. At the heart of the collection is grief not as an ending, but as a form of inheritance, shaped by the values and memories of those who are no longer present. Drawing on both classical and modern literary traditions, The Song of Our Blood balances tradition with originality. Each poem is rooted in personal experience, yet reaches toward something universal, capturing the longing, sorrow, and hope that flow through human lives, as if carried in our very blood.
