About The Book

Apolytus– n. the moment you realize you are changing as a person, finally outgrowing your old problems like a reptile shedding its skin, already able to twist back around and chuckle at this weirdly antiquated caricature of yourself that will soon come off completely. 

This analogy perfectly describes the poems I have written and compiled into this book for the last 3 years. To have grown and changed in my most formative years and learned from various experiences, some difficult while others were easier. This book is a representation of all that has helped me become who I am today and I am proud to share it. 

About The Author

Every Sunday my parents would pack us children up in our car and take us to a bookstore located 30 minutes from our house. My two siblings and I would choose two books each for the week, and I’d bribe my little brother to pick up books for me instead of himself. By mid-week, I would have gone through my pile and gotten sad for no more reading material.
